There’s a class war going down

One thing that even the dim bulbs in the media should understand by now is that there is in fact a class war going on, and it is the rich and powerful who are waging it. Anyone who does anything that empowers the little people or that threatens the wealth and power of the plutocracy must be destroyed. There is a reason for these clowns going after Think Progress and unions, just like there is a reason they are targeting wikileaks and Glenn Greenwald, Planned Parenthood, and Acorn.

Kanye West had it wrong, George Bush didn’t care about POOR people.  And Obama in many ways is actually worse.  Obama gives lip service to the cause of justice, mouthing empty words of liberty and equality.  But equality cannot exist in a system with such incredible gaps between rich and poor.  If they ever quit doctoring the unemployment numbers, we might be looking at genuine unrest.  The best we can hope for is to go the way of Tunisia and Egypt.  I don’t know if Americans have enough restraint to make that work.

Think About This

Good luck thinking about anything else for a while.  I was half expecting the little girl at the end to get mutilated by her swing set.

Funniest Band Name Contest

I love this kind of stuff.  “Wizards Of Banality” is my personal favorite, but most of them are good.

Why? Because, uh… I dunno. It’s a laugh, innit?

Something to do, right?

There’s growing evidence that the toll of our stunning inequality is not just economic but also is a melancholy of the soul. The upshot appears to be high rates of violent crime, high narcotics use, high teenage birthrates and even high rates of heart disease.

That’s the argument of an important book by two distinguished British epidemiologists, Richard Wilkinsonand Kate Pickett. They argue that gross inequality tears at the human psyche, creating anxiety, distrust and an array of mental and physical ailments — and they cite mountains of data to support their argument.

“If you fail to avoid high inequality, you will need more prisons and more police,” they assert. “You will have to deal with higher rates of mental illness, drug abuse and every other kind of problem.” They explore these issues in their book, “The Spirit Level: Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger.”

This isn’t really all that shocking of a revelation, more a confirmation in my view.  But check this shit out:

There’s similar evidence from other primates. For example, macaque monkeys are also highly social animals, and scientists put them in cages and taught them how to push a lever so that they could get cocaine. Those at the bottom of the monkey hierarchy took much more cocaine than high-status monkeys.

I think what happened here is that this study was actually a foregone conclusion adopted in order to provide an excuse to give cocaine to macaques.  Why not?  The scientists’ own status within our society has been trampled so thoroughly and unjustly, why not stand around feeding cocaine to a bunch of monkeys all day?  Sounds like more fun than XBox.

I got an email from WordPress with the breakdown of stats for my blog this year.  The gist of the email was that I should write more stuff about anal fisting.  It seems that is the most popular way to find my blog.  So I’m aces with the jaded sexual deviant crowd.

Stay strong, perverts!

Come for the anal fisting, stay for the far-left politics!

America, I love you, but you piss me off sometimes.

In Europe for their tax dollars, they get universal health coverage. We here in America get a bunch of weapons and give tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires who don’t need ‘em. Why? Because Fox News said we should. Let’s face the cold and clammy facts: we’re a country of idiots, run by a class of amoral scoundrels and criminals.

Why there isn’t rioting in the streets over the turn for the (much) worse the quality of life has taken in America is a mystery. How is it possible that it’s gotten this badwithout major social unrest? Beats me.

I think Bob Dylan may have said it best.  “There’s a hard rain’s gonna fall.”  When Americans finally decide to retake their own destiny, it will undoubtedly be ugly.  The longer the masses wait, the worse it is likely to get.
